Anchor Publishing contacted us about the possibility of redesigning the website for the Harpswell Anchor. Their old website was built in a blogging package, and wasn't giving them the flexibility and ease of use that they desired. Adding images was difficult or in some cases not possible, managing the map of Harpswell wasn't easy for them to do, and they could not manage the ads on the website themselves. We recommended a website built on Joomla that would solve those problems and give them much more.
Their new website has some of the design elements of their previous website, but with a fresh and modern feel, and features:
- The ability for them to archive articles. This way they don't have to remove old articles from the website, and can allow people to browse and search the archives.
- A robust calendar solution to display the community events. Old events are automatically archived.
- A dynamic map of Harpswell from Google Maps with the ability for them to add as many markers on the map as they want. The map can also provide directions to any of the markers from an address the user enters.
- A package to manage the ads, with the full ability to automatically publish and unpublish the ads, and track how many times ads on the website are being viewed and clicked.
- Many other improvements over their previous website that save them valuable time.

Pet Quarters has had a website for many years. When they approached us they specifically wanted to update the design of their website to "modernize" it, and allow them an even easier ability to update it on their own. The new website features a store listing with a dynamic map capable of generating directions for users, a featured products area, events calendars by location, photo galleries, community information, an online newsletter, online employment application, and contact us form. The website also has other features that they will roll out when they are ready which include product flyers and specials, as well as a full newsletter management application for online mailings of their newsletter. The project was based on our $500 website package, with additional hours added to accomplish the extra tasks involved.

Jon Brandon first approached us about helping him with e-mail, and before too long he decided he wanted to go ahead and have us build him an entire website. We started with their brochure, and some color samples, as well as photos of the work they had done over the years. We developed this design over the course of the project and further refined it to really suite their needs. The website feature information about the company as well as samples of their work in an online portfolio. This website is another good example of what can be done within the $500 website package.

Joseph Jose did not have a website, and wanted a website to mainly showcase his portfolio. This would enable him to more easily show his work to potential clients instead of having to lug his portfolio book to meetings all the time. The overall design is very simple, clean, and professional. We mimicked the colors and styling of his existing business cards and letterhead, and replicated his logo as he didn't have an electronic version of it. This website is another good example of what can be done within the $500 website package.

Dennis wanted to refresh his website to better reflect his business, and have it in a format easier for him to update. We moved all of his existing content into a website design we built in Joomla, and then added the ability for him to post "blog-like" updates to his website. The design is very simple, yet professionally stylized. This website is a good example of what can be done within the $500 website package.
